UCI Cycling World Championships The UCI Cycling World Championships will take place from 3rd – 13th August 2023 with a number of race events scheduled to take place in Glasgow. As a result, there will be road closures throughout this period and diversions will be in place across our network. This page will be updated with further information and passengers should use this to keep up to date on changes. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for travelling as we expect significant disruption during this period. Check out our summary below to find out which closures are in place and how services are affected: 3 – Neilston to Glasgow	 Dates: Friday 4th August to Tuesday 8th August, and Saturday 12th August to Sunday 13th August Information: Due to the Road Race City Centre Circuit, Hope Street and Renfield Street bus stops will not be in use. Services to Glasgow will terminate at Oswald Street. Services to Neilston will depart from Jamaica Street at our usual bus stop. X7 – Greenock / Kilmacolm / Linwood to Glasgow, Buchanan Bus Station Dates: Friday 4th August to Tuesday 8th August, and Saturday 12th August to Sunday 13th August Information: Due to the Road Race City Centre Circuit, Bothwell Street, Hope Street, Renfield Street and Union Street bus stops will not be in use. Services to Glasgow will instead continue to Buchanan Bus Station via M8 and North Hanover Street. For services to Linwood/Kilmacolm/Greenock please board service from Buchanan Bus Station at stance 44. 23 – Erskine to Glasgow Dates: Friday 4th August to Tuesday 8th August, and Saturday 12th August to Sunday 13th August Information: Due to the Road Race City Centre Circuit, Hope Street, Renfield Street and Union Street bus stops will not be in use. Services to Glasgow will terminate at Oswald Street. Services to Erskine will depart from a temporary stop on Jamaica Street after Howard Street.  X23 – Erskine to Glasgow Dates: Friday 4th August to Tuesday 8th August, and Saturday 12th August to Sunday 13th August Information: Due to the Road Race C

The UCI Cycling World Championships will take place from 3rd – 13th August 2023 with a number of race events scheduled to take place in Glasgow. Leave the car at home and get there by bus! All buses will continue to serve Glasgow with some diversions in place.

Dates: Friday 4th August to Tuesday 8th August, and Saturday 12th August to Sunday 13th August

Information: Due to the Road Race City Centre Circuit, Hope Street and Renfield Street bus stops will not be in use. Services to Glasgow will terminate at Oswald Street. Services to Neilston will depart from Jamaica Street at our usual bus stop.

X7 – Greenock / Kilmacolm / Linwood to Glasgow, Buchanan Bus Station

38 – Johnstone to Glasgow

Dates: Friday 4th August to Tuesday 8th August, and Saturday 12th August to Sunday 13th August

Information: Due to the Road Race City Centre Circuit, Hope Street, Renfield Street and Union Street bus stops will not be in use. Services to Glasgow will terminate at Oswald Street. Services to Johnstone will depart from a temporary stop on Jamaica Street after Howard Street.

901/906 Clyde Flyer - Largs to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station

Dates: Wednesday 19th July to Sunday 20th August

Information: George Square will be the official UCI fan zone and the road on the south side of the square will be closed. Bus stops at George Square and St Vincent Place will not be in use. The only bus stop in Glasgow City Centre that will be served is Buchanan Bus Station. For services to Largs please board at Buchanan Bus Station at stance 50.
